I just saw JB from the morning show twitter something about wearing a coonskin cap for his next photos in Rare Magazine….(he writes a column for them that is hysterical!!)….anyways, it got me thinking about my favorite picture with my Dad.  Check it out……

A little back story makes it better.  So we were camping at the Grand Canyon and the coonskin hat was the one thing I really wanted from the gift shop. (My brother probably got a tomahawk or something).  Anyways, I wore it most of the trip and right before this photo was taken my Dad asked me if I wanted to go bear hunting.  I donned my new cap and eagerly followed him into the woods.  He told me to get in this hammock with him and he promptly fell asleep.  Guess that was his idea of “bear hunting”. I was stuck in the hammock with him since it was a few good feet off the ground, and my Mom stnuck up and caught me “mean muggin”.  This picture actually won some money in The Kansas City Star’s travel photo contest awhile back!  Great memories!

So I am joking about the quarter life crisis, but I am not joking when I say my 25th birthday is coming up. April 10th to be exact.  This is the first year I haven’t had a big desire to do an all out birthday bash weekend, so either I’m just getting old…or I’m depressed about getting “old”. LOL.  Anyways, So I can be bribed to smile on my birthday with cake or….the following things:

-Beer-

-Babybel Cheese!-

-Food from The Clay Pit in Austin (my fave)-

-KU Jayhawks Gear-

-Coffee!! My drug…-

-Some peacock feather earrings…..love em!-

Oh yeah…..did i mention I’m kidding?  While I do love all of the above, I don’t need or want anything!  Looking forward to 25…..The best is yet to come! xo  Cass
