I went a little crazy at the last Kendra Scott Sample sale. Her jewelry is usually pretty expensive and sold at high end stores like Nordstrom. All the boutiques in Austin get together twice a year and try to blow out all the clothes they have left from the previous season. It is a great opportunity to buy some designer jeans or beautiful sundresses at a cheaper prices!  The sale starts Saturday at 11am and is $10 to get in!

..I don’t understand peeps speeding through  public parking lots…
This week alone, I’ve had at least 4 chances to play ‘CHICKEN’
w/ a car, of course I would  have been at the major disadvantage
of not being in my car….
… Yesterday… walking  w/ Ted in my complex, I even
got a smile from a ‘Chicken Contender’ for not playing.
I understand we have places to be, people to see.. But,
you will be a whole lot later if your potential ‘Chicken Challenge’
 faces up against a Child or  A Pet or anthing else that can’t
stand up to metal/plastic ramming head on into them…..
Since I don’t have one of these…

…maybe wearing a sign while walking.. or better yet…
Please Stop playing ‘Chicken’ in Parking lots…
Most of us don’t want to play!!!

Went and got an AMAZING deep pore facial last night–lasted 80 minutes, included a shoulder/hand massage, she even sent me home with products for free!  I was blown away.  The place is called Avenue Five Institute, and yes it is a beauty school—-BUT, it’s unlike any I have ever experienced.  It’s classy, clean, and affordable!  Here’s an example of some of their prices:

When was the last time you saw a woman with a normal body just chillin in a women’s fashion magazine? Glamour Magazine’s September issue  (on stands now) has an article about feeling comfortable in your skin. 

Sure model is still a pretty thin woman, but I love that she isn’t posing in a special way to suck in her belly.
