6:00 AM:  JB had a successful day yesterday participating in the “Dam that Cancer” event, which raised money for Cancer. He and a group of others paddled 20 miles on stand-up paddle boards yesterday and it was an all day event. Tonight Eclipse comes out at 11:55 PM, which is the third movie in the Twilight series. Tropical storm Alex is expected to become a hurricane this morning, and the far southern tip of the Texas coast and parts of Mexico are said to be under preparation for it to hit them.  It was announced yesterday that Steve Carrell is leaving “The Office”, which isn’t huge news, because rumors have been swirling about this for months now.

6:15 AM: Sandy’s birthday was yesterday, and we all dropped the ball and forgot it!  So today we had a “16 Candles” moment, and brought in a cake for Sandy to the same song from the movie. He said we weren’t the only ones who forgot…..in fact, no one remembered his birthday at all! Poor Sandy!

6:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. Six time champion Koboyashi is rumored to not be at the hot-dog eating championship in Coney Island this year. Jesse James and Sandra Bullock’s divorce is final, and they are keeping any details about it locked up. The AISD isn’t having a job fair this year because they don’t have any positions to fill. Nationwide 275,000 teaching jobs are on the line.   Jon Gosselin recently got a large back tattoo of a Korean Dragon with the names of his children on it, and there is also the name “Erin” on it, and people think he meant that to be his new 23 year old girldfriend’s name which is “Ellen”.

6:45 AM: Sandy said yesterday he wanted to be on the TV show “Wipeout”, and he applied last night after Cass sent him the website link. Happy Birthday today to Nicole Sherzinger (32),  Melora Hardin  aka “Jan” from The Office, Collin Hay from Men at Work (57), Fred Grandy aka “gopher” from The Love Boat (62),  and Gary Busey (66).  Headlines of the day: Women spend on average $25,000 on shoes in their lifetime. The FDA says that raw ground beef and steaks can stay in the fridge 3-6 days, raw chicken can only stay 1-2 days in the fridge, and soup only lasts 4-5 days in the fridge.

7:05 AM: A man named Gary Faulkner want to catch Osama Bin Laden by himself, and even tried to go over to the Middle East and capture him. He was caught by the authorities before he was able to capture him. He claims to know exactly where Bin Laden is, but isn’t saying anything about the location.

7:20 AM: We talk to Brad Womack from The Bachelor, who is also one of the judges for the Sing like John Mayer Contest.  He has watched all of the videos and calls in to share his favorites with us.  He said he’s really enjoyed watching all of the videos and has his favorites chosen. His favorites include; Fallon Franklin, Ty Graham, Shaylee Busch, and “Willmakesmusic”. He said the funniest video is Shad C, and he has a crush on Courtney Ateyeh. Tomorrow morning we’ll announce the Austin winner that will continue on to the national competition.

7:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are now married. Angelina Jolie says in a Vanity Fair article that her family is big enough, and that one more child would make the family too big. Lindsay Lohan is working on a new reality show to prove to the world that the Lohan family isn’t crazy. Last night on The Bachelorette it was revealed that one of the guys has a girlfriend, which was big drama.

7:45 AM: Top 10 most unforgettable movie songs of all time.

8:00 AM: In honor of Sara’s love for the TV show Glee, we prank called a chiropractic office using a bunch of sound clips from the character Sue Sylvester.

8:10 AM: Sara went back to the kiosk guys and asked her favorite guy whose name is Joy some questions. Joy told her about his recent discovery of Hippie Hollow and the music of Barry White. He also claims he plays the didgeridoo and can heal people with it.

8:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara. . 8:40 AM:  JB recently was out on the lake and saw one of those boats with about a million speaks on it and a bunch of little hoochie girls in bikinis dancing. JB is absolutely terrified that his daughter will grow up to be like that. Sandy says since they can’t really control their daughters, he said they probably should say “don’t ever let me see you acting like that girl” rather than “don’t ever be that girl”.

8:55 AM: Our boss Alan Kirshbom comes in to talk to us. He did the “Dam that Cancer” stand up paddle boarding event yesterday and the guys said he killed it. He stops in with a surprise for Alex. Alex loves car racing and red bull more than anything else in the world. Alan got an autographed Red Bull racing hat from driver Mark Webber for Alex.  Alex was totally blown away and said he’s never had anything personalized especially for him.

9:20 AM: Forbes has come out with the list of the most powerful entertainers  and it includes; Britney Spears, Madonna, Johnny Depp, Sandra Bullock, U2, Tiger Woods, Lady Gaga, and James Cameron. The top 2 are both women; Beyonce is #2 and #1 is Oprah.

9:30 AM: Four things you need to know with Sara.  Lance Armstrong announced yesterday on Twitter that this will be his last year competing in the Tour de France.  Lindsay Lohan is working on a new reality show to prove to the world that the Lohan family isn’t crazy. There are reports that Dr. Conrad Murray was drinking at a strip club and brought a stripper home to Michael Jackson’s house the night he passed away.  Last night on The Bachelorette it was revealed that one of the guys has a girlfriend, which was big drama.

9:45 AM: Alex has a tradition of making hot dogs the Friday before the 4^th of July, and JB says he knows 3 ingredients he could bring in to make better hot dogs than Alex does. One of them in onions, and the other two he won’t tell. He said one of them is not readily available in Texas, so we’re curious to hear what it is.

6:00 AM: Last night on the BET awards Chris Brown did a Michael Jackson tribute and got very emotional when he sang “Man in the Mirror”, and cried through the entire thing. Also, Kanye West performed for the first time since the Taylor Swift Incident, and T.I. performed for the first time since getting out of jail. MJ’s crystal studded glove went for $190,000 in a recent auction, which is 10 times more than it was worth.  Today JB is doing “Dam That Cancer”, where he will paddle on a stand up paddle board from Mansfield Dam to the other end of the lake to raise money and awareness for Cancer. After 7 am, Sandy and Alex will get on a boat and head out there to broadcast the rest of the show live from Lake Austin.

6:15 AM: Foods that make you tired; foods or drinks that are high in sugar, foods that are high in fat, a turkey sandwich, too much caffeine, and booze.

6:30 AM: Hurricane Alex is the storm that is the first of this season, and luckily it will bypass the BP oil spill. The new iPhone came out last week, and there are already problems with it. They built an antenna into the outer rim of the phone, and apparently when left handed people hold it, they cover the antenna and you can lose reception. A drunken Grandma was pulled over in Austin for drunk driving, and had her grandbaby in the car, and the baby was not restrained in a safety seat. Also in the car was an open bottle of wine, drug paraphernalia, and prescription drugs.  The most recent bachelor Jake and his fiancé Vienna have broken up, and the story is on the cover of People Magazine this week.

6:45 AM:  JB calls in to let us know how the Dam That Cancer stand up paddle board event is going. They are just now getting started, and he says where they are starting, the water is so cold that they are paddling through fog. They will go 20 miles today, and he doesn’t think they’ll end until around 4 pm today. They will end at Abels on the Lake on Lake Austin Boulevard for a happy hour from 4-7 pm today. Happy Birthday today to Kellie Pickler (24), John Cusack (44), John Elway (50), and Kathy Bates (62).

Might need to save a few Fireworks to bust open the Clogged Arteries….

Sad news this weekend..

My Daddy, Maurice, had to put his poodle Carmen down
on Saturday morning…. She  would have been 16 on July 5th!!
Something weird, Ted knew that is happened before I told him
when I got off the phone w/ my Daddy yesterday.  He said on  Saturday
night he saw a quick Brown streak shoot past our Bedroom. He thought it
was Huey at first, but he was in the living room .  He had a feeling that Carmen
had passed. Weird, since he doesn’t really get into all that kind of spirit stuff.
Even though she Barked ALOT.. & always had ‘THE LAST WORD’
when you’d tell her to stop! She was a Cutie that will be MISSED!
*Be strange when I go home to Omaha, NE at the end of this week
for the Holiday, that she won’t be around!
