6:00 AM: Sandy was not on the show “No Ordinary Family” last night in case you were wondering. It was his doppelganger Michael Chikliss. JB and his wife said last year that they’d take a trip over Thanksgiving this year, but last night they chickened out on the idea. Alex is buying a fry daddy to make corn dogs for TX/OU weekend. Sara’s computer crashed a few weeks back and last night Apple told her she could recover over 1,300 of her lost songs from iTunes.

Sandy’s friend recently had an embarrassing moment in parenting when he took his son into the public restroom at Chili’s. His son was going #2 and was giving his dad a play by play of it through the bathroom stall door. We got some great, great calls from listeners on the same topic. One woman’s son was trying to set her up in the grocery store after her divorce. He went up to a man and asked if he was married, and he said “my mom is divorced” to the guy. Then he said to his mom” Mom, he’s single, turn around, turn around so he can get a look at you!”
7:20 AM: JB has gone soft on a punishment he gave his daughter and he doesn’t know if it’s smart or just plain, bad parenting. She was punished with a month of no TV for breaking the glass on their front door. Yesterday she asked if he could strike a deal with her because a month is a long time. JB agreed to take some time off her punishment if she’d go run the 3 mile loop with him at Town Lake. She did it and thought it was fun, but prior to that she was dreading the run.

7:45 AM: Punish your kids with a video and send it to us. JB did it last week when his daughter broke their front door. Part of her punishment was that she had to let him videotape her apology and play it on KEYE. So, we encourage you to use this tactic on your own kids, and send us the videos. 8:40 AM: Cassiday and her friends went to college in Kansas, where there wasn’t always a lot of options for fun. So in 2005 they were drinking one night and ended up in their friend’s home recording studio. They were freestyle rapping under the influence of alcohol and apparently Cassiday was hogging the mic…..she had forgotten about it until last week when her friend emailed her a clip of the rap. 9:50 AM: Great day today—we loved that Chief Acevedo took some time out of his busy day to talk to us about the shooting yesterday that had the UT campus shut down for the better part of the morning and into the afternoon. He is a great guy and is such a professional. We respect him and all of the APD and emergency crews who helped ensure the safety of all on campus yesterday.
