*Cruising around ATX w/ my Honey Ted over the weekend,
I took a few quick shots of the 1st Holiday day lights I ran into.
It’s amazing no matter how P.O you are at others driving around,
when you see Holiday lights, it seems to make everything a bit nicer.
Maybe they should be up 24/7!
Anyway, here’s a crappy/blurry phone picture of ‘Hyde Park Grill’
they have all their  strands of lights Burning Bright !

You will have to see it in person! It’s pretty cool!!
Maybe grab some HPBG Famous Fries or Peach Pudding! YUMMY!

*Here’s a better phone picture cruising along Brodie:

*Got cut off right before, we drove up near this.
It took the sting out of being P.O at the moron driver!

BTW..when I was in Wally World, they have this section near the
front packed with goodies that you would never think about buying
except during the holidays!!  Here’s one I heard is this Year’s  ‘Strange IT Item’…

So I figured  the ‘WOW GIfT’- Gift you give to someone when they open it they
have this ‘Fake Smile & say Wow..look at that.. or that’s cool’..then put it down
next to them thinking how they are going to re-gift it without you knowing!
But checking out the site,  the Fushigi actually it looks way cooler. I might
have to go back to Wally world and grab one to try it out!!

When I heard the story behind the new single from the Goo Goo Dolls, “Not Broken” I loved the song even more. John Rzeznik wrote the song after he heard from one woman about her husband’s struggle to return from the war.

John said about the song, “I got a letter from a woman whose husband was in Iraq. He was injured – paralyzed – and he doesn’t want to come home. He wants to stay in the hospital. He’s ashamed of himself. .. He’s afraid she won’t see him as she was…..And she just wants to let him know that he’s still everything that she ever wanted. I don’t know, it just kind of came out. It’s kind of like I was writing a love letter to him on her behalf, telling him to come home.”

Time won’t ever steal my soul

We’re not broken

So please come home

And if the world has worn you down

I’ll be waiting

So please come home

6:00 AM: Sandy’s trash service payment arrived late and they won’t be picking up his trash until Saturday. This is a big problem because they have a lot of trash that needs to go now, and the pick up isn’t scheduled until after Thanksgiving. JB and his family love the store Toy Joy and last night they went and had a blast. His daughter picked out a stuffed snake that wiggles, and got to feed the “addiction”. Alex tried using chewing tobacco this morning and it made him sick. Sara is very nervous for the work potluck lunch today because she feels the pressure to make a dish that everyone in the office will love. Cassiday was pissed when she went to get coffee to go from the gas station today and they didn’t have any lids.

6:05 AM: Yesterday was Guinness Book of world Records day, and more than 275,000 people tried to break records. Ashrita Furman, a 56-year-old manager of a health food stores in Queens, N.Y., added to his record of Most Guinness Records Held by One Person by walking 33 feet in shoes that weighed a total of 322 pounds. Most Consecutive Double-Dutch Skips (371), which was set by the Summerwind Skippers double-Dutch team of Boise, Idaho. Most Dogs in Costumed Attire (426), which was set at Highlander Park in Dunedin, Fla. Largest Voodoo Doo Doll (21 feet, 8 inches), which was built in New Orleans.World’s Tallest Married Couple (13 feet, 4.4 inches), which was set by Laurie and Wayne Hallquist, of Stockton, Calif. He’s 6 feet 10.4 inches, and she’s 6 feet 5.95 inches. Fastest Human Crab (20 meters in 8.03 seconds), which was set by 14-year-old Cameron Jones of Seattle. In Beverly Hills a famous publicist Ronnie Chasen was driving home from a red carpet event, was shot in the chest multiple times, and drove her car into a light pole and died. It was initially believed to be a random carjacking and now they are thinking it was a planned attack of some kind.

6:15 AM: A woman wrote in and said that we never do any bits on our TV show aimed towards babies. So, this morning we decided to try one to see if we can make her happy. We played peek-a-boo on the show this morning for all of the infant viewers out there. Hope they liked it.

6:30 AM: 4 things you need to know with Sara. People are trying to organize the masses to saying no to the full body scans at the airport during holiday travel. This will create additional slow downs on top of the slow downs that naturally come with Holiday travel. A new planet has been discovered and it is the first that came from another galaxy into ours. It’s a Jupiter like planet and was just discovered by astronauts. AISD is going to have to make big budget cuts next year and could likely be some education programs and jobs. The Air Force is warning its troops not to use facebook while overseas because it could show the enemy where they are located.

6:45 AM:  Happy Birthday today to Keri Strug, Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan, Ann Curry, Amad Rashad (whose birth name is Bobby Moore), and Calvin Klein. A company has created bacon drink tablets, that you drop into water and it makes it bacon flavored. You can find it at Archie McPhee, a novelty gift website.

6:55 AM: What’s in the box?  Today Sara and Cass got to pick what was put in the box and Alex had to reach in and feel it. They decided to put an elementary school lunch in the box—which included an open faced PB&J, Cheetos, and sliced banana.

7:00 AM: Coast to coast in 90 seconds.

7:05 AM: Harry Potter and The Deathy Hallows part 1 is out today. Cecily says it’s a darker, slower version, and there is a brief sex scene in it. Also out is The Next Three Days starring Russell Crowe, and Cecily gives that one a C+.

7:15 AM: Life changing moment—What was the moment in your life that gave you a big wakeup call? In a National story, a man saw a picture of himself captured by Google street view, and realized for the first time just how overweight he had become. So he lost a ton of weight, and said that was a huge moment for him. A listener named Helen rolled her convertible car three times and walked away without a scratch. This led her to change her lifestyle and her group of friends.

7:20 AM: Alex has an idea that he thinks is genius, and we think it’s the worst idea ever. He saw an ad for a “Princess Party” company, where people can hire women dressed as Disney princesses to come to their daughter’s birthday party. He wants to hire princesses to come hang out with us while we’re on air and the rest of us think that’s a creepy and weird idea.

7:30 AM: 4 things you need to know with Sara. Eva Longoria sold her divorce story to US Weekly and to her friend Mario Lopez at Extra. Tiger Woods is trying to re-build his brand by starting a Twitter account and doing a lot of interviews. He blames golf for his cheating ways, saying it made him self centered.  Jessica Simpson’s new fiancé wants everyone to know he has money and comes from a wealthy family.

7:45 AM: Coach Brown calls in to the show every Friday before game day and this week he sounded very deflated. He said it’s not fun anymore being on the show with us, and Sandy tried to get him excited by reading him the “Don’t Quit” poem.

7:50 AM: The week in review.

8:00 AM: JB free workout cd.  JB is loving the new album by Girltalk, a DJ who mashes up popular songs. He has a free download of this new album at illegalart.com and JB says it’s the best CD to work out to.

8:10 AM: Weird facebook friends. Do you have any weird or famous facebook friends? Our listeners do and they are friends with; Dog the Bountry Hunter, Chris Farley’s brother, and Drew Brees.

8:25 AM:  What’s the theme: Paris Hilton “stars are Blind”, Hilary Duff “Let the Rain Come Down”, and Jessica Simpson “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’”.  What do they have in common? It’s that they all have celebrity sister who rode on their coattails to stardom.
