6:00 AM: Dancing With the Stars Cast has come out and this season includes; Chaz Bono, Ricki Lake, Nancy Grace, Ron Artest, Kristen Cavalarri, David Arquette, Carson Kressley, Hope Solo, Rob Kardashian, and George Clooney’s ex Elisabetta.  The “hot sauce” mom was given 3 years of probation, a jail sentence, and a fine yesterday. She was facing a maximum 1 year sentence in jail. Michael Vick signed a 6 year deal with the Eagles yesterday. Cedric Benson is going to jail for punching an Austin bar employee. He will serve probably only 1 week in jail, which will be during a bye week for the Bengals.

6:15 AM: There is a new trend in which couples are bringing their laptops/iPads/phones to bed and using them while lying next to each other. 20% of couples are spending more time on these devices than spending actual face time together.  Sandy says he and his wife do this all of the time and it’s become the “norm” for them.

6:30 AM: 4 things you need to know with Sara. Matthew Fox assaulted a female party bus driver in Cleveland on Saturday night. He was trying to board a party bus that he wasn’t supposed to be on, and he punched the driver in the chest and stomach. She returned the punch, and is now claiming to have a broken hand. Hillary Duff is pregnant and lost her movie role in Bonnie and Clyde because of it. She is getting paid $100,000 anyways though. The eastbound Ben White to southbound I-35 will open Thursday morning—finally! The lost penguin who was 4,000 miles from home on a beach is on a 4 day journey back to Antarctica.

6:45 AM: JB’s audio with his wife Erin. This time they’re talking about their pet dogs. They have Diva, who Erin likes, and Roxy who is hyper and a handful. Erin isn’t crazy about Roxy, and she has about had it with her. Roxy chewed up an expensive decorative pillow right before JB turned on the mic. Erin says Roxy has chewed up every pillow in the house and duvet cover. She said she’s going to leave the front door open and see what happens.

6:55 AM: Words with Friends is Sandy’s new favorite thing. It’s a game you can play on iPhones and Android phones, and it’s essentially a game of Scrabble, but you can play it with someone on the other side of the world if you wanted to.

7:15 AM: Anyone listening who has been in the last 3 months of their pregnancy during this hot summer? Lisa had her baby on Saturday and the last week of her pregnancy was awful. Erin is due at the end of September, and they just moved last weekend. She is miserable as well right now. Andrea had her baby last week, and it was her 3^rd kid. She said this one was the only one born in summer and recommends fall pregnancies.

7:22 AM: Sandy’s wife was watching Steel Magnolias on TV and he knew she’d cry, so he secretly started videotaping her with his phone. When she realized he was doing this, she got so mad and threw a pillow at him as she chased him out of the room.

8:10 AM: Headlines. Facebook has some new applications. For Google chrome, there is an app that will automatically say Happy Birthday to your friend on Facebook for you. There is also a new app called Open Book that will help you search hot topics and find out what they are.

8:20 AM: Second date update. Lisa called in to see if we could figure out why Rick never called her after their first date. They met online, and went on a date about a week ago and she thought it went really well. We got Rick on the phone, and he explained why she didn’t hear from him again. He said she misrepresented the way she looks by sending him really old pictures of herself from about 100 pounds ago.

8:45 AM: Jenn Gotzon is an actress who is starring in the film Dooby, which Sandy has a very small role in.  The film is about a man who comes to a small Texas town at the right time and making a difference. It’s a mystery/drama/thriller with some romance, and it’s been compared as a mix of Crazy Heart and It’s a Wonderful Life.  Sandy will get to see it tonight, but it won’t be released until early 2012.

Yesterday afternoon I had BIG FUN (sarcasm) having my annual girlie check up.
My chest is a bit sore today, since I also had a mammogram as preventative care.
I know it’s something many woman don’t want to do, because it is uncomfortable and rather humbling standing in front of a machine topless getting squeezed, pulled and poked. But not doing it can lead to way worse things to go through.  So please make sure you don’t skip your ‘mams’. Help keep you healthy. Make sure you do your monthly self- exams too.
My doc gave me this card to hang as a reminder.

Don’t blow off a ‘mam’, take care of  ‘the girls’!
Pass along the reminder to the women in your life. That goes for you too guys. Men can have breast issues too. Stay healthy and get those ‘mams’ and  do those ’self exams’. If you find something that doesn’t feel right, call your doctor, don’t  put it off.  It can be a matter of a long happy life or the other alternative.   May Good Health JuJu be with you!!

Kanye West and Jay-Z were hanging out together in the front row the entire night drinking, and after she performed, she pulled open her jacket and showed off the bump. They then cut to the boys in the front row and Jay-Z was glowing. We’re not sure if it was fatherly pride or the fact he was drinking all night. Lady Gaga tried to get attention in a different way than she usually does, by dressing as her alter ego, a man named Jo Calderone. Katy Perry won video of the year for “Firework” and she won best collaboration for “ET” with Kanye West. Hurricane Irene was the big story over the weekend and 4 million people are still without power. They say that airports should be re-opened by this weekend.

6:15 AM: What’s the theme? Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, and Willie Nelson.  They all share a scarf or bandad being an essential part of their act and look.

6:45 AM: JB and Sandy were presenting an award on Saturday night in the Austin Fashion Awards.  The hostess of the evening was introducing the guys and said “they need no introduction, these guys are about to be indicted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame”…even though she should have said “inducted”. They said it was a beautiful event, with lots of pretty people, and the Moody Theatre was an amazing venue.

7:10 AM: Anyone listening who is a teacher that has ever been hit on by a student? We got a call from a female teacher who was coaching at the time, and one of her female students wrote her a letter professing her love for the coach and wishing they could be together.

The weathermen all got put outside to report from the scene and it often seemed they were grasping at straws to try and find something to report about. They often were making mountains out of molehills while live reporting.  One reporter in North Carolina said “as I’m looking down the beach, I see lots of debris. The beach is filled with sand.”

The funny thing is she’s now a teacher in Georgetown.

8:10 AM: Headlines. Bad parenting makes kids 8x more likely at age 16 than kids who have good parents. The parenting approach that works best is to be loving with them until they turn 10, and then crack the whip once they’re over 10. Give them tough love and when they turn 15, give them lots of supervision. Kids who ate dinner with their families every night were more likely to behave than other kids. A teen girl got pulled over by a state trooper in Idaho, and the girl told him “I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I’ve just gone into labor”. It turns out she had just grabbed stuff that was in her car, and stuffed it up her shirt. She was charged for inattentive driving and obstruction of a police officer.

The Austin Humane Society is offering free pet adoption today because their air conditioning is out. 4 million people are without power because of Hurricane Irene and they say it could take weeks to get their power back on.  A 30 foot statue is being erected on the National Mall in D.C. of Martin Luther King Jr. Two grown Illinois people (22 and 23 year old man and woman) have spent 2 years suing their mother for bad parenting, and were asking $50,000 each for emotional damages. They were suing her on the following grounds; she sent them bad birthday cards, she made them wear their seatbelts in childhood, she didn’t send good college care packages, she didn’t buy an expensive dress the daughter wanted, and she called and made her daughter come home at midnight from a prom after party in high school. After 2 years of putting the mother through this, a judge finally dismissed the case. The kids live with their lawyer father, who was having them sue her as his ultimate revenge on her after their divorce.

Ted’s Bud Light Au Gratin Potatoes

-2 tablespoons butter/margarine
-1/4 cup of onion
-1  tablespoon of flour
-Salt, pepper for taste 1/4 of salt & 1/2 Pepper works well in the cheese sauce
-Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon
-1 cup of Bud Light
-1 cup of milk (Ted used skim)
-1 1/2 cups of light cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups of mozerella cheese
-1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
- 2 large baking potatoes (5-6 cups)
-1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
-5 strips of bacon

Ted’s Bud Light Au Gratin Potatoes in the making:
-Pre-heat oven 375

-Stir in the milk and then the Bud Light.Heat to boiling and stir constantly for about 1 minute

- Mix the remaining cheese , the bread crumbs (Ted used Italian bread crumbs for a bit more flavor, but you can use plain) and 3 crumbled up pieces of cooked bacon. Sprinkle over the potatoes and bake another 15-20 minutes or until the top is brown, bubbly and the potatos are tender.

Sprinkle a bit of paprika  (Ted opted out on this one).  If you Love cheese, a bit more extra.
Let cool a bit and then serve with an Ice Cold Bud Light! Dinner is served!
*You can also eat Bud Light Au Gratin Potatoes as a side dish, but it’s really good for dinner too!
