Parade Magazine did a 2011 Pop Culture poll.
Here are the winners & runner ups:
Most Annoying Celebrity Everywhere you look, there seems to be a Kardashian. Famous for being famous, Kim, in particular, has been inescapable, with her recent wedding and honeymoon reported just about everywhere. Perhaps all that exposure is why she earned the title of Most Annoying Celebrity in our poll, with 29% of the vote.
1. Kim Kardashian 29%
2. Charlie Sheen 27%
3. Snooki 21%
4. Lindsay Lohan 16%
5. Donald Trump 5%
6. Brad Womack 1%
Most Likely to Succeed from Harry Potter With the Harry Potter film franchise wrapping up, it’s time to nominate the Hogwart’s graduate most likely to succeed. By a landslide, our voters chose Emma Watson (79%)—who is already a defining figure in the world of fashion—over Harry himself and Broadway veteran Daniel Radcliff.
1. Emma Watson 79%
2. Daniel Radcliff 18%
3. Rupert Grint 2%
Hottest Summer Tune Every summer seems to have an anthem, and according to our voters, the summertime airwaves belonged to Adele’s monster hit “Rolling in the Deep.” While it’s not as bubble-gum poppy or club-driven as most summer tunes, there’s no denying the power of the British superstar’s voice.
1. Adele, “Rolling in the Deep” 28%
2. Katy Perry, “Last Friday Night (TGIF)” 22%
3. LMFAO, “Party Rock Anthem” 15%
4. Blake Shelton, “Honeybee” 10%
5. Lady Gaga, “The Edge of Glory” 9%
6. Jennifer Lopez, “On the Floor” 8%
7. Britney Spears, “I Wanna Go” 6%
8. Rebecca Black, “Friday” 2%
Coolest Couple What divorce rumors? It seems our readers would most like to hang out with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, who just narrowly beat out fellow superstar duo Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck for an invite to our voters’ next barbecue.
1. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith 27%
2. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck 26%
3. Prince William and Kate Middleton 20%
4. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt 11%
5. Beyonce and Jay-Z 10%
6. Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem 6%
Most Replaceable Judge Seems viewers want to see Jennifer Lopez get off the floor of American Idol. She was voted as the one AI judge folks would most like to see sent packing.
1. Jennifer Lopez 40%
2. Steven Tyler 36%
3. Randy Jackson 24%

A LOT of my friends are having babies…so I am always on the lookout for cute/different baby gifts. I was at a craft fair in Dallas over the weekend and just fell in love with 3 Bears Studio. Maybe it is my love for Babar/Elephants (she paints a lot of elephants), and everything whimsical, but I can’t get over how stinking cute these original paintings are!
Even better – they are affordable with many options under $40.
You can buy paintings straight off the Etsy Site – Click here for 3 Bears Studio
Here are some of my favorites!
6:00 AM: Hanson was in town at Antones last night and the fans camped out all day to get in, which makes the guys sad. They don’t see how such a historical blues joint can book a pop band like that. Brad Pitt was on the Today show yesterday and Matt Lauer began the interview with a very controversial quote in which Brad said that his marriage to Jennifer Aniston was boring. So now that everyone is bringing up that quote, he has to spend his press tour for “Moneyball” apologizing to Jennifer. The X Factor is supposed to be the big deal, but it’s not getting the rating they wanted. 12.4 million people watched it, in comparison 26.4 million people watched last season’s kick off episode of American Idol.
6:15 AM: The Week in Review.
6:25 AM: Last night was Journey, Night Ranger, and Foreigner at the Frank Erwin Center. We’re hearing how great the show was from all our listeners that were there, but we’re confused about one thing. Apparently a little girl named Raleigh went up on stage with the band, and everyone thought it was JB’s daughter because she looked like her. JB says it was not Raleigh, and wonder who the girl was that went on stage was?
6:30 AM: 4 things you need to know with Sara. 50 years ago the Longhorn Logo appeared on football helmets for the first time. The logo was designed by a local shop owner when Daryl Royal told him there were complaints that the uniforms were too plain. This weekend 2222 will be closed between Mopac and Burnet to everyone except the residents of the streets inside that closure. The crash yesterday on Ben White where a Honda drive the wrong way on the highway and got hit by an 18 wheeler head-on. The driver was a 23 year old female who was intoxicated, and her passenger died on contact. The Huntsville prisoner who had an excessive last meal cause a stir, and now they are changing the rules because of him. From now on in the state of Texas, no one will be able to request a last meal that isn’t something that is being served in the cafeteria that day.
6:45 AM: 2 minute topic—why is The X Factor a big bomb in the ratings? We think it’s of no fault of the show or the show’s creators. We suspect it just shows that America can’t keep up with all of the reality/competition shows out there. With American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, The Sing Off, Dancing With the Stars, and all of the rest of the shows, maybe X Factor is just trying to make waves but the pool is too full!
7:00 AM: Coast to coast news in 60 seconds.
7:10 AM: Great in Austin-Happy Hours. Sara loves Lambert’s happy hour and Alex loves Third Base’s happy hour. Our listeners love Jack Allen’s in Oak Hill for happy hour.
7:20 AM: Coach Brown calls in to the show usually on game days. There is no game this weekend but he wanted to call us and tell us about his plans this weekend. He and Sally are leaving from Houston on a cruise today. They got the cruise free for touring Sun City, and also got a free VCR and answering machine.
7:45 AM: Who is the face of Austin? We asked our listeners their opinion about this. Diane thinks it’s Matthew McConaghey. Sherry loves that there really is no face of Austin, and says it’s what makes Austin unique. Other names thrown into the hat include; Chief Acevedo, Leslie, Lance Armstrong, Willie Nelson, Mac Brown, Sandra Bullock, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jb and Sandy. We decide it should be Lance Armstrong, and unofficially dub him the face of Austin.
8:00 AM: Coast to coast news in 60 seconds.
8:15 AM: Headlines that don’t make the 4 things you need to know. 5 things that are arouse women; A deep voice, a feminine looking man, men wearing red, scars on the face, and moody men. 5 things that arouse men; women who aren’t funny, full lips, dark hair, women wearing red, and long arms.

Unemployment has been above 8 percent overall the past 2 1/2 year, so Hallmark has launched a new line of ‘Job Loss’ cards.
Example: She was handed a lemon. A really BIG LEMON. She started to make lemonade. Then she thought what the heck and made a Martini with a twist instead. Click here for more!
Cool idea or rubbing salt in a wound?
Having been laid off a few times myself in the radio industry, I have found you have to have to find some humor in things, or the alternative will bring you down and keep you down.
